Mahama asked to arrest and prosecute fake doctor, Anne Sansa Daly
Media personality and social commentator Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah is calling for the immediate arrest of Anne Sansa Daly, a woman who has been exposed as a fake doctor.
Afrifa-Mensah made this call after President John Dramani Mahama removed Anne Sansa Daly from the Board of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The dismissal came after it was discovered that she did not have a valid medical license to practice in Ghana.
Anne Sansa Daly, who often appeared in public and on television programs as “Dr. Anne Daly,” was known for giving health tips and advice. However, recent investigations showed that she is not a licensed doctor in Ghana or the United States.

Ghana Medical and Dental Council
Both the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and the American Board of Family Medicine have confirmed that Anne Daly has no official medical qualifications in either country.
Speaking during an interview on Metro TV on Thursday, May 29, 2025, Afrifa-Mensah said Daly had committed a serious offense and must face the law.
“What we are calling on the Medical and Dental Council to do is to recognize that this is a crime. They should not be afraid. They should go ahead and make sure that the girl is arrested and prosecuted… Otherwise, the next time they arrest another person, they will lack the moral temerity to prosecute,” he said.
He stressed that even though she may not have physically treated patients, simply presenting herself on television as a medical doctor is a criminal offense.
“Even if she was not administering medicine to patients, her misrepresentation on TV as a medical doctor is a crime. It is a serious offense, and we must not sweep it under the carpet,” he continued.
Afrifa-Mensah
Afrifa-Mensah urged the Medical and Dental Council to lead the charge in ensuring Daly is arrested and put before the court. He hinted that more revelations would come out when he airs his next show, which he says will shock the nation.
Despite his strong demands, he expressed doubt that Anne Daly would face any real consequences. He believes powerful people may protect her because of her connections.
“I know that this government will not act on this lady’s case because she has connections in high places. I don’t know what she will use to shield herself, but I know there are people in this government who will protect her,” he added.
The situation has sparked conversations across the country, especially around the growing concern about unqualified individuals posing as health professionals. Many people are now looking to the authorities—especially the Medical and Dental Council—to act swiftly and restore public confidence.
So far, Anne Sansa Daly has not publicly responded to the allegations.
