Mpox cases in Ghana grows as new cases is confirmed
Ghana has confirmed six new cases of Mpox, raising the country’s total number of recorded infections to 91.

Health officials say two of the newly diagnosed patients are currently on admission and under close medical observation, while efforts to trace contacts are actively underway to curb the potential spread of the virus.
The recent rise in cases has triggered growing public concern.
However, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has moved to allay fears, assuring citizens that the situation remains under control.
In a public advisory, the GHS encouraged Ghanaians to remain calm but vigilant, emphasising the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene, avoiding close contact with individuals exhibiting symptoms, particularly those with unexplained rashes and seeking immediate medical attention if any symptoms arise.
