NPP Flagbearership Race: Bryan Acheampong is determined to contest – Mpraeso MP

Member of Parliament for Mpraeso, Davis Ansah Opoku, has confirmed that former Minister of Food and Agriculture and current MP for Abetifi, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, is preparing to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer slot ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Speaking during an interview on Channel One TV’s Citiuation Room, Opoku revealed that while an official declaration has not yet been made, Acheampong is resolute in his decision to join the race once the party officially opens nominations.

“I think that the committee is finalising its report, but I can confidently tell you that he is determined to contest and very soon the Ghanaian people would hear from him,” he said.

Opoku commended Acheampong’s leadership strengths, describing him as someone with strategic thinking and the competence to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.

“Bryan Acheampong possesses what it takes to move Ghana forward, and he’s got the ability to marshal resources in terms of the human capital needed to move Ghana forward. He’s got a clearer vision, which very soon we are planning to let Ghanaians know, most especially to the NPP delegates to consider him at the next polls,” he added.
