Nana Benyin, Somuah ,Agyapong, Acquah return as Kotoko coach Ogum names squad against Nsoatreman FC

Asante Kotoko head coach Dr Narteh Ogum Prosper has named a 20-man squad to face Nsoatreman FC today,  Thursday 10th April 2024 in the Ghana Premier League matchday 25 fixture.

Asante Kotoko will host Nsoatreman FC at the Baba Yara Sports stadium today. In the Porcupine Warriors’ matchday squad, Prosper Narteh Ogum has included experience Augustine Agyapong,  Nana Benyin Amoah, and Bernard Somuah.

Asante Kotoko aims to return to winning ways after back-to-back home defeats when they welcome Nsoatreman Football Club to the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday evening.

They go into matchday 25 after picking up a point on the road against Bechem United last Saturday, ending their losing streak.

The team returned to Adako Jachie training base on Monday morning with several familiar faces who had missed the last few games joining the squad as they prepared for the fixture against Nsoatreman

The Porcupines were stunned by Nsoatreman in a 1-0 defeat through a controversial goal and an undeserved red card to our centre-back Henry Ansu when referee Maxwell Hanson took charge in the reverse fixture at Nsoatre.

The home form will have to improve to get the Porcupines back on track after managing just 18 points from 11 games at home, but the visitors after 12 games, have also picked up 11 points on the road this season.

Kotoko managed a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman last season at Baba Yara Stadium in their Premier League season; however, we anticipate a tough battle on Thursday night against our former coach and club legend Maxwell Konadu.

The game is scheduled at 18:00GMT kick-off and will be live on the StarTimes Adepa channel.
