Politician goes viral after displaying bundles of cash in apartment

A Nigerian politician has stirred controversy online after being seen in a viral video surrounded by bundles of cash inside what appears to be a private apartment.

The footage was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @IU_Wakilii and has since been making rounds across social media platforms.

Before the video surfaced, photos showing the same man with stacks of cash had already been posted online. In the original post, @IU_Wakilii captioned the image: “Northern Politicians. This is a Member of the House of Representatives.”

At first, many social media users were skeptical, with some suggesting the image might have been altered or entirely fake.

To put those doubts to rest, @IU_Wakilii later followed up with a video clip showing the same politician alongside the piles of money, accompanied by the caption: “This is photoshop too?”

The video has since gone viral, sparking a wave of reactions online. Many people have flooded the comments section to share their frustration and disbelief, raising concerns about corruption, transparency, and accountability in Nigeria’s political system.
