Rare heartbreaking scenes as Ama Endorsed’s mother ‘collapse’ in tears

Saturday, May 24, 2025, was a very sad day in Accra as friends, family, fans, and fellow Ghanaians gathered to bid their final farewell to Comfort Esime Adzigbli, popularly known as Ama Endorsed—a woman many called “The Lady Carpenter.”

The funeral ceremony was held at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ashaley Botwe, and from the beginning to the end, it was full of emotions, tears, and touching tributes.

A Mother’s Pain No One Could Console

One of the most heartbreaking scenes of the ceremony came from the late Ama Endorsed’s mother, who was seen quietly seated next to her daughter’s coffin.

A video captured by DailyNewsGhana showed her staring long and hard at the casket, her eyes swollen with grief as tears ran down her cheeks uncontrollably.

People tried to comfort her. Many friends, church members, and sympathisers surrounded her with warm words and hugs—but no one could ease her pain. The sorrow of losing a child, especially one as vibrant and inspiring as Ama, was clearly too heavy for the grieving mother to bear.

Who Was Ama Endorsed?

Born Comfort Esime Adzigbli, Ama Endorsed was not your average social media influencer. She was bold, hardworking, and fearless, making a name for herself in a field that very few women dared to enter—carpentry.

Yes, you heard right. Ama proudly called herself “The Lady Carpenter,” and she was one of Ghana’s few female carpenters who used her hands to create furniture and design beautiful interior pieces.

Through videos she posted online, she showed the world that a woman can build with her hands, lead a business, and still be stylish and confident.

A Life Cut Short at Only 29

Ama passed away on April 17, 2025, after what her close friends described as a short illness.

Just days before her death, she had celebrated her 29th birthday in grand style.

In what would turn out to be her final celebration on earth, she gifted herself a brand-new Range Rover—a sign of how far she had come in her journey as a woman in business.

Nobody expected her life to end so suddenly.

Many of her fans, especially on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, were shocked when news of her passing broke.

It was hard to believe that someone so full of life, joy, and inspiration could be gone just like that.

A Role Model for Young Women

Ama Endorsed was more than just an influencer. She was a trailblazer.

She didn’t just talk about girl empowerment—she lived it. From humble beginnings, she built a business, managed staff, and became a brand in her own right.

Her workshops and motivational messages touched many, especially young women who wanted to break into male-dominated professions like plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.

She always said:

“Don’t let society box you. Be bold. Be hardworking. If the boys can do it, you can do it too.”

It was these words—and her actions—that won her the hearts of thousands across the country and even beyond Ghana.

A Funeral Filled with Love and Legacy

Today’s funeral was a reflection of the kind of person Ama was—strong, impactful, and loved by many.

The church was filled to capacity. From the altar to the last bench, people came dressed in black and white, some in tears, others in silent reflection.

Some mourners wore T-shirts with Ama’s face boldly printed, and others came carrying flowers and framed photos of her during her carpentry work and public appearances.

The service was filled with tributes, songs, and a special eulogy read by one of her closest friends. The message was clear:

Ama may be gone, but her legacy will live on.

What Ghanaians Are Saying

On social media, the hashtag #AmaEndorsedLivesOn has been trending. Many have shared old videos of her in her workshop, laughing, measuring wood, and offering tips on entrepreneurship.

Here are some of the touching comments:

“Ama Endorsed showed us that a woman can hold a hammer and still hold the world. You did well, Queen. Rest well.” – Twitter user

“Gone too soon! We need more women like her. May her soul rest in peace.” – Facebook commenter

“Ama was my motivation. I started my own plumbing business because of her. This hurts deeply.” – Instagram follower

A Call for Continuation of Her Dream

Some mourners have called on the government and private institutions to honour Ama Endorsed’s legacy by setting up a “Lady Carpenter Training Fund” to support young women interested in vocational skills training. Others believe her name should be attached to a carpentry or technical school to inspire generations of girls to follow her path.

One mourner said:

“Let’s not let Ama’s dream die. She started something great, and we must continue it. She stood for hard work, dignity, and girl empowerment. That should never be forgotten.”

Final Words

As the casket of Ama Endorsed was slowly lowered into the ground, there was not a dry eye in sight. The silence that followed was heavy—not just with sadness, but with a deep sense of loss and reflection.

She was only 29, but she lived a life that many twice her age could envy—a life filled with purpose, courage, and legacy.
