The dollar will go up if you mention Akufo Addo’s name – Captain Smart

Controversial Ghanaian media personality, Captain Smart, has stirred reactions online after a new video of him surfaced on social media.

The video captures the outspoken journalist during a live broadcast of his usual program, where something unexpected happened in the studio.

While he was on air, the DJ played a campaign song associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the background. As soon as Captain Smart heard the tune, he immediately called out to his DJ and asked him to stop the music.

He jokingly warned that if the DJ continued playing any song that mentions President Akufo-Addo’s name, the Ghanaian cedi might worsen in value and the dollar could go up again.

His reaction has left many netizens amused, with some interpreting the moment as satire while others saw it as another example of Captain Smart’s bold and unfiltered criticism of the current government.
