Afrobeat and Highlife musician Kuami Eugene has announced that he has parted ways with Lynx Entertainment.
The last couple of weeks has been full of rumors about how Kuami Eugene wants to end his relationship with Lynx Entertainment.
The musician sent cryptic messages on social media about his rumored sour relationship with the record label that discovered him but everything was treated as mere rumors.
A couple of days ago, the CEO of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah rubbished the rumors in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra Fm and said Kuami Eugene is on a tour in Europe under the Lynx label.
Just when we thought Kuami Eugene isn’t leaving Lynx Entertainment, he is settled the rumors with an announcement on Twitter.
In the announcement, he said his new family is Empire, an American label and distribution company.
Empire are based in San Francisco but have recently ventured into the African market by signing the likes of Black Sherif and Yaw Tog.
Kuami Eugene is the latest African musician to join Empire.
Hopefully his departure from Lynx to join Empire wouldn’t be bitter like Black Sherif departure from his old label to Empire which landed him court on contract breaches accusations.
