Two youth jailed 18 years in prison for doing Ashawo business

Two Nigerian women have reportedly been sentenced to prison, according to a report by Safo News.

The news outlet confirmed that the two women were arrested and jailed over allegations of engaging in the hookup business.

According to the report, the pair have been operating a network from Nigeria, bringing young and attractive Nigerian girls into Ghana to involve them in sex work.

What’s more troubling is that many of the girls brought into the country are allegedly forced into the trade.

The two women have each been sentenced to nine years in prison, amounting to a combined total of 18 years.
