How bad road and potholes almost killed Tempane MP (Watch Video)

The Member of Parliament for Tempane in the Upper East Region, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, has been involved in an accident.

One of her cars was spotted in a gutter on the side of the pothole-ridden Accra-Ho road.

According to Citi News who reported on the accident, the driver of the vehicle was believed to be swerving a pothole and landed in the ditch.

Citi Fm wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “A vehicle believed to be for the Tempane MP, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, swerves off the pothole-ridden Accra-Ho Road into a gutter; fortunately, no casualties reported. #CitiNewsroom,”

Social media users slammed Ghanaian leaders over their failure to improve the road network.

“One funny about our leaders is that, they think they’re isolated from our daily struggles bcoz they drive V8s, one way or the other you go feel am. This is the struggle of everyday Ghanaian,” one netizen wrote.

Another said: “The Accra- Ho road is a death trap!!!! Those are not potholes my dear, na manhole Dey that road top!!!!!”

A third Twitter user wrote; “They should just let her go home and get her Ghana card. She will never see any pothole again. As simple as that,” referring to Bawumia’s claim that 1 Ghana card is better than 100 interchanges.
