Following the arrival of the World Cup trophy in Ghana on Saturday, a Ghanaian clergyman prayed over it.
The World Cup trophy arrived in Ghana for a two-day tour as part of FIFA’s efforts to raise awareness of the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on June 14.
On Saturday, ex-France forward David Trezeguet arrived with the trophy and was greeted by Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif.
However, a pastor who was present for the viewing of the golden gong used the opportunity to pray for the Black Stars to win the trophy and return it to Ghana in December, according to a social media video.
“This time, we pray that you will take this cup and return to Ghana for a good celebration.” We
“We pray this time that this cup you will go and return back to Ghana for a good celebration. We prophesy in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen,” prayed the man known as Pastor Sammy.
When we got into the plane, we had a pleasant shock when this good pastor asked to say a few words to the #FIFAWorldCup trophy.
