WATCH: Don’t name your children “Mansa” is backed by an extremely bad spirit – Ghanaians told

A Ghanaian pastor has stirred controversy online after claiming that certain names negatively impact the lives of those who bear them.

Speaking to his congregation, the pastor advised Ghanaians to be cautious about the names they accept or give to their children. He specifically pointed out the name “Mansa”, often given to female children, stating that it carries a “very bad spirit.”

He further mentioned that the name “Cynthia” is also problematic. According to him, women named Cynthia struggle to have peaceful and successful marriages, and may even face challenges with childbirth.

His comments have sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some agree with him, others have criticised the claims as baseless and offensive, urging pastors to focus on more practical teachings rather than fear-driven messages.
