Watch moment priest clashes with pastor in trotro

In a video shared on Facebook by Brian Jonah Dennis, the traditionalist was seen recording the scene while exchanging words with the preacher, who was preaching to passengers in the bus.

The traditionalist said the preacher had made some comments that insulted African traditional religion and culture. He got upset and decided not to keep quiet.

Angrily, he stood up and challenged the preacher. To express his protest, he began singing Fela Kuti’s popular song Yellow Fever loudly, which disturbed the preacher and drew mixed reactions—some passengers laughed, others looked worried.

Speaking in Pidgin, the traditionalist said:

“My people, make una see me o. I dey inside danfo dey go Lagos Island. This man dey preach, I no talk. But he dey preach against my tradition and my culture. Me, I no gree with am. So as he dey disturb me, me too dey sing my African spirituality music.”

The preacher didn’t stop either. He went ahead to say that he had spiritually destroyed the traditionalist’s idol, which made the argument even more serious.

In response, the traditionalist accused Christianity of being a tool used during colonial times to destroy African culture. He added,

“Go tell them for Iran and Israel where dem dey kpai them. What about those in Benue State? Go and cover them with the Blood of Jesus there.”
