Watch reactions as Akufo-Addo meets Charlotte Osei for the first time since 2018

Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei, the former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), recently came face-to-face during a meeting of the Constitution Review Committee (CRC).

This meeting marked the first public appearance of the two together since Akufo-Addo removed Charlotte Osei from her position as EC Chair in 2018 during his presidency.

The encounter happened when the CRC visited Akufo-Addo as part of its nationwide consultations to review Ghana’s 1992 Constitution.

In photos shared by the Chairman of the CRC, Professor H. Kwasi Prempeh, Charlotte Osei was seen in an animated and cheerful conversation during the engagement.

Both Nana Akufo-Addo and Charlotte Osei appeared to be in high spirits, sharing smiles and exchanging greetings in a friendly manner.

Other notable personalities who attended the meeting included Prof. Kwasi Prempeh himself, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Godfred Dame, and Kow Abaka Essuman, who serves as legal counsel to the former president.
