Yesu Agyemie Herbal Centre owner arrested for secretly burying his deceased son
Rev. Israel Eshun, founder of God Host Favour Chapel and operator of Yesu Agyemie Herbal Centre, has been arrested for allegedly burying his deceased two-year-old son in secret.
Reports indicate that Rev. Eshun buried the child in a room within the church premises without informing his wife or any other person.
This incident has shocked his wife, Mrs. Christian Marcathy, also known as Maame Ama, and residents in the community.
Mrs. Marcathy revealed that their son had been admitted to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, where doctors advised the family to take him home to spend his final moments with loved ones.
According to her, Rev. Eshun returned home ahead of the family and, after realising the child had passed away, buried him without her knowledge or consent.
Maame Ama, who is eight months pregnant, said she found out about the incident after asking her husband about the child’s whereabouts.
Rev. Eshun then showed her the spot where he had buried the boy. Reports suggest the pastor tried to flee after the matter was reported to the police.
Mrs. Marcathy also accused her husband of physically abusing her during her pregnancy. She stated that she had reported the abuse to neighbours and the police before this latest incident.
Rev. Eshun was eventually arrested when he returned to the premises to retrieve some items. During police interrogation, he admitted to burying the child without informing his wife.
