Young Ghanaian-British student caught with 19.4kg of ‘Loud’ (VIDEO)
In a major drug bust at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Nigerian authorities have arrested 20-year-old Osei Parker, a Ghanaian-British national, for attempting to smuggle 19.4 kilograms of “loud” — a potent strain of cannabis.
The arrest took place during the inward clearance of an Ethiopian Airlines flight arriving from Bangkok, Thailand.
Parker, who claimed to be a computer science student at the University of East London, is now at the centre of an intensive investigation led by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
According to NDLEA officials, the drugs were expertly concealed, raising suspicions about Parker’s possible involvement in a larger trafficking network.
His dual citizenship and international travel route have sparked concerns about how student visas and flight paths are being exploited for drug smuggling.
The agency stated it will collaborate with international partners to uncover any broader connections.
If convicted, Parker could face severe legal consequences under Nigeria’s strict drug laws.
