Club to pay 60% clause that will see them pay Chelsea some cash in unique deal

One club are set to pay Chelsea some money in what has been a rather unique deal that has actually ended up being very smart from The Blues decision makers.

Chelsea had a quiet January in terms of transfer business when really all they did was a couple of loan deals ins and outs.

One of them was striker Armando Broja joining Fulham on loan. This is a deal that on paper looks like it hasn’t gone well at all because Broja is not playing for his loan club at the moment. However, when you look deeper, it’s not as bad as it looks.

Fulham are set to trigger a £4million payment to Chelsea for Broja under the terms of his January loan deal, unless he starts every remaining game they have, which is hugely unlikely.

The Daily Mail report the specific terms of the deal are that Fulham would pay nothing if Broja played 60 percent or more of the matches, of which there were 16 at the time he joined.

As of now, the striker is yet to start a single game for Fulham.

The only downside is that it might effect his sale value come the summer.
