Dreams FC coach Karim Zito utilizes Medeama game as preparation for Stade Malien CAF Confederation Cup clash

Dreams FC head coach, Karim Zito, has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of his team’s recent Ghana Premier League game against Medeama SC, using it as a strategic preparation for their upcoming two-legged CAF Confederation Cup tie against Stade Malien.

In a game that ended in a goalless draw at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa, Zito was observed meticulously studying his team’s performance against the defending league champions.

The match served as a crucial warm-up ahead of the much-anticipated encounter with the Malian side.

With 28 points, Dreams FC find themselves in 14th position on the Ghana Premier League table after 22 games with a game in hand.

The first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 31 at 17:00 GMT in Mali. The second leg will follow a week later, on April 7, in Ghana.

Zito saw the Medeama game as an opportunity to fine-tune his team’s strategy and identify areas of improvement before facing the Malian opposition.

“I also said that I am going to use this game to prepare for Stade Malien. Three of my players are with the Under 20 National Team so even with all this, I still got them playing to get what I wanted (a draw or a win),” he said.

“Like I said, I’m using this game to prepare for Stade Malien so I’m okay, I’m okay with one point,” he added.
