Good Evening Auntie Abena, I trust you are well? Please, I would like to bring to your attention a personal problem that I would need you to help me with. It’ll take a miracle to solve it.
My fiance and I are getting married on the 3rd of February, that is in two weeks’ time. Our invitations are out already, and preparations have been ongoing.
But we are stranded financially because the plan we had initially to get some funds failed us at the last hour.
As a result, we’ve done less than 30% of the preparation. Now, all we have is my fiance’s car we wanted to sell to raise the money. My business is running slow too.
We’ve postponed this marriage a few times already from last year, and we just can’t skip it again.
My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years. Can you believe, anything we do to raise money for the marriage has not been successful? Meanwhile, ever since I met this man, he has been very supportive, loving, and caring.
He is doing a very well-paying job, but since the marriage conversation popped up, we have been facing financial hardship here and there.
We decided to fix the date to 3rd February after so many dates fixed from June 2023, October, December, January 2024, and finally Feb 3rd. The only things I have are the things that were paid for by my friends and family. And it’s just cake, makeup, and traditional dresses and reception dress bought by my Aunty. We haven’t bought anything from the marriage list.
I know you will ask if I don’t pray or seek spiritual help? Aunty, we do pray together fervently. Currently, we are doing fasting kraaa. Like we pray paaaaa.
I don’t want to doubt God because I trust miracles do exist. Again, I know you will ask, what am I doing to help financially? I am also helping paaa. Any money we use for our daily rounds and feeding comes from me and more.
I love this man so much and can’t afford to lose him. But honestly, I want to call off the marriage till further notice because I’m scared.
We have just 14 days left. Even though I believe in a miracle, looking at the current economic hardship, I don’t think this wedding is happening.
My heart is already broken. My BP is already high because I have BP, na marry a won marry ano k!ll Person.
