NPP accused of sabotaging NDC

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Nurein Shaibu Migyimah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Assin Central, has been suspended following allegations of impregnating the wife of the party’s Constituency Secretary.

This scandal has caused significant turmoil within the NDC Central Regional Secretariat.

The NDC Central Regional Functional Executive Committee acted swiftly in response to the allegations, suspending Migyimah after a thorough investigation. They cited “immoral acts and anti-Party conduct” as reasons for his suspension and withdrawal as the 2024 Assin Central Parliamentary Candidate.

However, in an exclusive interview with Hot 93.9 FM’s Taken Over News, an NDC Communication team member for Central Region, Bismark Donkor, claimed that the allegations were politically motivated.

“We discovered that our Regional Executives are influenced by the opposition party, New Patriotic Party (NPP),” Donkor stated, suggesting a history of political interference, especially during the 2020 elections.

Addressing the alleged pregnancy, Donkor explained, “After several investigations, we found out that the Constituency Secretary, who reportedly had issues with our PC, had already publicly separated from his wife.

Recent media publications about renting for the said wife were unfounded.”

Looking ahead, Donkor indicated that the NDC’s national leadership has called for a critical meeting to address these issues.

We are going to unveil all these facts and let them know our Regional Executives are influenced by the opposition.

All allegations against our PC were unfounded,” he asserted, emphasizing the need for the national leadership to take control of the situation.
