“Pushed me toward the fans” – Chelsea man didn’t know what to do when he scored

One Chelsea player has admitted that he had no idea what to do when he scored for the club in a recent game, being excited and overwhelmed by it all!

His team were struggling at the time and needed a late onslaught of attacking quality to see of their opponents at Stamford Bridge.

But it was thanks to Carney Chuwkuemeka, who came on as a late sub to cause havoc and score a goal, that Chelsea managed to eventually beat Leicester City at home in the FA Cup quarter final match on Sunday afternoon, to setup a semi final tie against league champions Manchester City.

Carney was so excited when he scored that he admits he didn’t know what to do! And it was down to the help of two of his team mates, who edged him in the direction of the fans, that he ended up celebrating the goal in style!

In words via the Chelsea website, Carney said on his goal: “It was an amazing feeling, honestly. I didn’t know what to do after I scored, how to celebrate. But I’ve got great team-mates who pushed me toward the fans.”
