“He is not obliged,” Nana Aba said in an interview with Asaase Radio’s Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku.
She also addressed the issue of “stingy” men who refuse to spend money on their girlfriends even when they have the means.
She called such a situation a “major issue.”
“If she’s really in trouble and the guy can help, he should be able to help, but if he’s not, there’s a big problem.”
The celebrated broadcaster, on the other hand, declined to comment on how important spending on one’s partner is in a love relationship, citing the risk of trending for the wrong reasons on social media.
