Ghana defender suffers hamstring injury

Ghana center-back Mohammed Salisu has missed Monaco’s game against Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 clash on Friday.

Salisu, 24, sustained a hamstring injury during Friday’s training session, ruling him out of contention for the match.

The former Southampton player was notably absent from the squad list released for the fixture.

Already grappling with multiple absences, Adi Hütter’s Monaco side will also be without the services of Mohammed Salisu against PSG.

The Ghanaian defender picked up the injury following Friday morning’s training session.

In crafting his starting XI, the Austrian coach has opted for an offensive-minded lineup, featuring three playmakers alongside two attackers.

Since making his debut for Monaco just before the AFCON, Mohammed Salisu has made eight league appearances and contributed with an assist last weekend.
