“On their day they’re an unbelievable team” – Jamie Vardy on Chelsea

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has described Chelsea as an unbelievable team on their day as the two sides prepare to face off in the FA Cup quarter final at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Foxes are top of the Championship and look set to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking under Enzo Maresca.

Despite that, Vardy and co head into Sunday’s game having won just one of their last three games, but did beat Premier League opposition in Bournemouth in the previous round.

Vardy has scored four times against Chelsea in his career and so far has 15 goals from 28 appearances in all competitions this season.

The 37 year old believes Leicester can win on Sunday and told BBC Radio Leicester: “We go into every game wanting to win so we’ll make sure we’re recovered and we’ll be back on the training field looking at how Chelsea play and how we can hurt them.”

“You just have to look at if it’s another league game. There’s nothing different. They’ve had their troubles, obviously have got brilliant players and on their day, they’re an unbelievable team.”

Winning the FA Cup is probably the Blues best chance of playing European football next season and a win on Sunday would see Mauricio Pochettino’s men return to Wembley for a second time having lost the Carabao Cup final last month.
