Sad as popular Ghanaian Fashion Designer dies during childbirth
Ghanaian fashion designer and creative Pokua Poku has died.
Pokuaa Poku is said to have kicked the bucket at the Lister Hospital on February 14, 2024, after giving birth in the early hours of the day.
Her death comes as a shock to many.
Pokua is credited with styling some great personalities in Ghana and other parts of the world, including Anita Erskine and Eugenia Tachie-Menson Ayesha Bedwei Ibe, Shirley Emma Tibilla, Claudia Lumor Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE, Menaye Donkor among others.
She worked with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) UNFPA Ghana on their fashion for a purpose campaign and was a Vlisco Netherlands fashion ambassador
She’s survived by her husband Rida Kofi Mouhtiseb ACI , CISA three children, her mother and siblings
Her patrons and people who know her personally have been sharing fond memories of her expressing worry over the fact that she was lost to maternal mortality.
