Sickle cell patient battles prolonged erection; Calls for help

Sickle cell patient Stephen Danquah is currently facing an agonizing battle with priapism, experiencing prolonged and painful erections for several days.

This rare condition, a complication of sickle cell disease, has left Danquah in excruciating pain as his health deteriorates.

Priapism occurs when blood becomes trapped in the penis, leading to persistent erections unrelated to sexual stimulation.

The severity of his condition has prompted concern among doctors in the capital city, who are working to find a suitable treatment plan for Danquah.
