Meet Them Somewhere Public
It would be perfect if everyone that you’re texting ends up being the same person when you actually do meet. However, you can’t be trusting strangers on the internet just because you know them online. If you’re meeting someone who’s only been on your phone for the first time, then it’s a good idea to meet them somewhere public. It’s always a good idea to consider your own safety.
Go Somewhere Quiet
On your first date with a person, you’re both going to be doing the whole getting to know them dance to see if you actually really like this person and figure out if there’s some chemistry between the two of you. For that you’re going to want to pick quiet location where you can actually hear each other speak.
Lower Your Expectations
If you’re being set-up by a friend then the most important thing that you want to keep in your mind is to lower your expectations. Chances are that they probably hyped the person that they told you about in order to get you on the date in the first place. Just make sure that you’re going on that first date with metered expectations.
Dress Up
Even if it does end up being completely casual, it’s a good idea to spend some time figuring out what you’re going to be wearing on your date. There’s nothing worse than wondering if you made the right call with your clothes when you’re on a date with someone that you find attractive.
