(Video): Mauricio Pochettino admits Chelsea signed a player “with problems” which are now haunting them

There is a lot of debate about Chelsea’s medical team at the moment.

Are they doing a terrible job? Or is there just so much randomness at work that nothing can be put on them individually?

There are certainly some things that could be done better, and Mauricio Pochettino revealed one of them just now when speaking about Romeo Lavia, who has played just 32 minutes all season after arriving last summer.

Pochettino admitted that “the club signed him… with problems from Southampton.”

Signing players with existing injury problems is probably not the wisest move, especially if you’ve already got plenty of good options in their position.
