Joshua Boakye, 26, of Wassa Dadieso in the western area, also known as Daakyehene Pilato, ended his life after breaking up with his girlfriend.
Abena Badu, a reporter for Kessben FM in the Western Region, reported that Pilato was discovered dead in his chamber with a rope around his neck.
Pilato’s mother presumably believed that her son had gone out with friends, but this was untrue.
The mother of Pilato and other family members began to look for their relative whom they never thought was at home around that time because his door was locked.
After not finding Pilato anywhere, they decided to break the door of Pilato’s room and to their dismay, they found the lifeless body of Pilato hanged.
His close friends confirmed that the past two weeks had not been easy with their friend whom they advised to move on after his girlfriend broke up with him.
Pilato was a royal from a royal home and thus heir to a throne which was why he bore the name Daakyehene.
