The latest player they are linked with would cost around €12m, which is a total snip compared to many other recent signings Chelsea have made, and you wonder if that is because they have one eye on not breaking financial rules going forward?
This week, reports from the Brazilian media said Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in Internacional winger Mauricio.
It was claimed by Vozes do Gigante that the Blues could buy the 22-year-old, with the Colorado looking to make €12m with his sale.
Chelsea’s interest has also now been confirmed by the player’s agent, as relayed by Sport Witness.
André Cury, who takes care of Mauricio’s career, said on Chelsea’s interest:
“I know they like him a lot, but so far there have been no enquiries. He’s got several enquiries from Europe.”
