MyNewsGh.com sources in the Upper East Region indicate that former Information Minister, John Tia has died.
He died after a short illness.
Our sources say he died in the early hours of March 24, 2024, at the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga.
John Tia was in Accra recently for the confirmation of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang as the running mate for the 2024 election.
He was the Member of Parliament for Talensi from January 7, 1993, until he lost to Robert Nachinab Doameng in the 2012 general election.
John Akologu Tia was also a former Minister for Information in Ghana.
He is survived by four children.
After his ambassadorial duties in Cuba he announced that he is going into farming full time to help feed the country.
