When we were young, our mothers frequently mentioned getting married, but I didn’t give it much thought.
Years later, when my childhood friend came home from studying overseas, I was shocked by how attractive he had grown to be. I had always thought of him as a brother, despite our parents’ insistence that we get married.
I’m not pleased right now, two years into our marriage. My lack of romantic affection for my husband makes me behave badly as a wife. He wants a solid foundation between us, but the idea makes me shudder.
